SceneBox is a series of talks, workshops and freestyle hack days for webgeeks, sceners, mod-trackers and 1337 h@x0rz who want to explore emerging technologies together in ways that will help them accomplish their technical and artistic goals.

Come see the incredible things being done with the next generation of web-browsers and join the discussion: what kind of tools can we build in the web?

Saturday Hackday & Workshop – Sept 18th 8:00am until very late
Saturday morning from 10-12, Al MacDonald will be giving a workshop on Mozilla’s Audio Data API, soon to be released in Firefox 4. Learn how to read & write audio using JavaScript in the web-browser and get your first look at some of the JavaScript APIs being developed for making music.
In general, Saturday will be a day full of hacking, working on ideas and displaying prods on the big-screen. Everyone welcome. Collaborate with like minds on new tools, prods or just come and enjoy the creative atmosphere as you learn new tricks. (...or just turn up to show-off your 1337 skills)
Bring your desktops, laptops and your lunch, desks and internet are provided (wireless or wired, but please bring CAT5 if needed). You are welcome bring equipment on Friday night and it will be locked up until Saturday morning. Saturday evening you will have the opportunity to demo and talk about what you’ve been working on to the group as you enjoy Saturday evening’s free pizza and refreshments.
